HOW DO YOU GET YOUR FULL DRIVING LICENCE • Successfully complete the theory test  • Obtain an eye examination • Then apply for your Learner Permit • Start lessons with a SKILZ Driving Academy RSA Approved Driving Instructor • When you are a confident and capable driver apply for your practical test The Theory Test You need • The Official Driver Theory Test  book (Current edition), and/or the CD rom • The Rules of The Road.                           All the required information is contained in the aforementioned resources. The Practical Test The driving test takes approximately 40 minutes and includes: • Driving competently under a variety of road and traffic conditions. • Reversing around a corner. • A turnabout in the road. • Demonstration of hand signals. • A hill start. • Questions on the Rules of the Road (including identifying road signs). Essential Driver Training (EDT) If your Learner Permit is dated on or after the 4th April 2011. Then you must complete the EDT course.
